IRS Forensic Investigations (IRS) was founded to fulfil the need for a reactive criminal investigation service, an intelligence gathering service and proactive fraud awareness company, servicing primarily the SME market.
IRS has undertaken investigation assignments throughout Africa and sent a team to the country of Benin to investigate the attempted assassination of the President of Benin.
This assignment was at the request of the Government of Benin and with the approval of the South African Government. IRS was also involved with the investigation into the assassination of Rwandan dissidents in South Africa.
IRS members have also undertaken assignments in Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria and Botswana.
IRS has investigated many high profile cases in South Africa including multi-million rand tender frauds; hi-jacking of platinum mines; land restitution claims; illegal sale of state land; racketeering; B.E.E fronting cases and many other organised crime, theft, money laundering and fraud cases.
IRS has been featured on the M-NET television program Carte Blanche; worked closely with the team from E-TV's program 3rd Degree; featured in Drum Magazine as well as in most South African newspapers.
