Northern Cape | SAPS NEWS: 2 Arrested, 21 Bags of Compressed Dagga worth R1.6 million Confiscated

Police in Pixley ka Seme Cluster made a major breakthrough by arresting two male suspects who were transporting compressed dagga this morning.


The suspects were arrested at Three Sisters during a roadblock which was conducted by Pixley Ka Seme Intervention Team, Flying Squad, Victoria West Vispol members and members from


Provincial Traffic.


21 bags of compressed dagga estimated at about R1.6 million, weighing 330.4kg were found in a bakkie. Cash amount of R12 000 was also confiscated.


Two suspects aged 29 and 59 were arrested.


A case of dealing in dagga has been opened and the two suspects will appear before the Victoria West Magistrates court soon.


The Acting Cluster Commander of Pixley ka Seme Col ZR Nyalela applauded the members for the good work.
