Unit Two at the Koeberg Nuclear Power Station in Cape Town has returned to service following a successful two month refuelling and maintenance shutdown.
Eskom says the unit is currently being synchronised onto the grid and will be fully operational by next week.
It says this will give the power utility electricity
output of about 900 megawatts for four-hundred days.
Eskom says it will help ease the supply constraints on other power stations.
Unit 1 continues to operate at full capacity and is scheduled for maintenance in February next year."https://scontent-jnb1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/p526x296/122403359_3649686125083745_4105625404840737020_o.jpg?_nc_cat=103&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=DJhuXTd_FyoAX9hdDq8&_nc_ht=scontent-jnb1-1.xx&tp=6&oh=bd23f83694bb625423ae3ea24dc6ba42&oe=5FB55EFB"
