An eleven year old boy is fighting for his life in the Red Cross Children's Memorial Hospital in Cape Town, after being shot in the head during protests at Laingville in St Helena Bay on the Cape West Coast on Friday.
There have been sporadic protests in the town in recent
weeks to highlight their call for better service delivery and housing.
A community leader, Tyrone Williams, says Leo Williams was in his house watching television, when a bullet, allegedly fired by the police on the protesters, hit him in the head.
