The City of Cape Town's Fire and Rescue Services say two people have died in separate fires.
Fire and Rescue Spokesperson, Jermaine Carelse, says in the first incident the body of a man was found last night in an informal settlement in Strand.
He says in the second incident,
firefighters responded to a fire in Nyanga this morning: "The body of a man, who had sustained fatal burn wounds, was found in the structure that was completely destroyed by the fire.
The second incident occurred at around five minutes after one on Sunday morning where firefighters responded to block four Hlathi Street in Nyanga.
Upon arrival they found a single structure well alight behind a formal dwelling and during the search of the structure the body of a man was discovered.
Both these scenes were handed over to the South African Police Service."
