The Local Government Association, SALGA, says it plans to establish a multi-disciplinary team that will oversee a response plan to help to combat corruption in municipal structures.
Auditor General Kimi Makwetu has released a report for the 2018-19 financial year.
It found that municipalities had lost R32-Billion in irregular expenditure.
This is an
increase of R7-Billion from the previous financial year.
