Metrorail says it will continue with limited services in Cape Town on Monday following the stress-test of operations between Retreat and the CBD for three days last week.
Metrorail says one-thousand-500 passengers used the trains in that period as officials checked on Covid-19 health protocols.
Metrorail spokesperson Riana Scott says
an increased service will be provided from today with the trains stopping at 13 stations, No more than 400 passengers will be allowed for each trip.
Scott says the limited train service will operate between six in the morning and five in the afternoon in compliance with level three regulations.
Turnaround times at terminal stations are increased to permit sanitising of trains.
Trains are also cleaned and disinfected overnight."https://scontent-jnb1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t15.13418-10/107598772_631317734458288_370670704977919210_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&_nc_sid=f2c4d5&_nc_ohc=agmEtV--GB8AX9aUcjr&_nc_ht=scontent-jnb1-1.xx&oh=2d6c483f182a08b0d08f0dd4972cafdd&oe=5F26F4DE"
