More than 3000 healthcare workers have tested positive for the coronavirus in the Western Cape of whom 28 died of COVID-19 related complications.
Head of the Health Department in the province, Dr Keith Cloete, was speaking during an online briefing on the virus.
He says there are currently more than 18-thousand active
cases of COVID-19 in the province: "So that is still in terms of the big proportion a small proportion but as Minister Mbombo said 28 staff members dying is 28 too many.
And we take each one very seriously and empathise with their fellow colleagues and with the families of each of the people that have passed away.""https://scontent-jnb1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/s526x296/79232549_3306877586031269_8309546642276875399_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&_nc_sid=110474&_nc_ohc=IDYqSU7Lmf4AX9KRKBh&_nc_ht=scontent-jnb1-1.xx&_nc_tp=7&oh=ed8c8838d25af74e0e0aa0f5d3962381&oe=5F24E5D4"
