Provincial Commissioner saddened by alleged murder of a police officer The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena is saddened by the alleged killing of a 41-year-old police Sergeant, Martha Mamoitoyi Bouwer who was stationed in Kanana in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District.
Bouwer's body was discovered yesterday
at approximately 19:50 at her house in Extension 14, Kanana outside Klerksdorp.
The gruesome discovery was made by Bouwer's colleagues who we nt to look for her after she failed to report for duty in the morning.
The victim's body was found in a pool of blood with multiple injuries after the police broke the door to gain entry.
According to information available at this stage, reports suggest that Bouwer was last seen with her ex-boyfriend who took their minor child to their aunt who was apparently told that the victim did not feel well.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim's Toyota Corolla vehicle is missing.
A manhunt has been launched and police request anyone who may have information
that can assist in tracking the suspect/s, to contact the Investigating Officer, Warrant Officer Piet Vermeulen on 079 881 9933.
