President Cyril Ramaphosa has conceded that government made a mistake in the way it communicated the collective decision over the cigarette ban.
The President is responding to questions from the South African National Editors Forum via video link.
A few days after the President lifted the ban on cigarettes, the Minister of
Cooperative Governance Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma announced the reinstatement of the ban.
President Ramaphosa conceded that he should have been the one to communicate the new decision.
He says thousands raised concerns over the lifting of the ban, prompting a change in approach."https://scontent-jnb1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/101499676_3218592121526483_7804876327625949184_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=yJSBJvTy1SAAX_osUDK&_nc_ht=scontent-jnb1-1.xx&oh=0e3c2dc0b90e717e938c014d48ac9a58&oe=5EF94F30"
