Western Cape Agriculture Minister Ivan Meyer says level three regulations in the Witzenberg and Cape Winelands require greater vigilance.
The Cape Winelands has been identified as one of the COVID-19 hotspots in the province.
The fruit producing region of Witzenberg has had the highest rate of infections and transmissions outside the Cape
There are currently two-hundred and- 52 positive COVID-19 cases in the area.
Meyer says 35 000 masks have been distributed to workers and R88 000 allocated for humanitarian relief in Witzenberg.
