Western Cape Premier Alan Winde says the provincial education department has spent R280- million rand to procure Personal Protective Equipment.
The equipment will ensure the safety of learners and teachers when schools re-open.
Grade seven's and Grade 12's are expected to return to school tomorrow after more than a month break due
to lockdown regulations.
However, there are concerns that some of them are not ready to re-open.
Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga is expected to address the nation on the matter later today.
Meanwhile, Winde says the safety of learners and teachers will be prioritised."https://scontent-jnb1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/101825478_3218273238225038_1257554381180502016_n.jpg?_nc_cat=109&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=M5C4osSMskgAX-K3NrI&_nc_ht=scontent-jnb1-1.xx&oh=387aa697be851cff8fda35bd3cd5c8cc&oe=5EFADEC4"
