The Muslim Judicial Council has called for the deferral of the reopening of mosques around the country for another month following consultations with health experts.
The MJC has supported President Cyril Ramaphosa's declaration of a National Day of Prayer today.
South Africans have been called upon by the President to pray at
their homes for the country and its people to heal and overcome the coronavirus pandemic.
Places of worship are expected to reopen tomorrow with strict guidelines as the country begins Level 3 of the nationwide lockdown.
