The Cape SA Jewish Board of Deputies has called on all South Africans to observe a two-minute moment of silence at noon every day to mourn those who have succumbed to COVID19-related complications, as well as to pray for essential service workers battling the pandemic.
The board has supported the National
Day of Prayer today as announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Places of worship are expected to reopen tomorrow as Level 3 of the nationwide lockdown comes into effect.
The Jewish Board Executive Director Stuart Diamond, however, says all synagogues in the Cape will remain closed and a meeting will be held on Tuesday to discuss the matter."https://scontent-jnb1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/79199678_3218135591572136_664016022864396288_n.jpg?_nc_cat=105&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=VkaM4s023HQAX95Blm7&_nc_ht=scontent-jnb1-1.xx&oh=68d005a1a03eb4c8abbb7000ac310ec6&oe=5EFA4B7D"
