The health workers
staged a protest at the hospital this morning.
SAFTU Provincial Secretary, Andre Adams, says they are in support of a healthy and safe working s paces at Tygerberg Hospital: "We have called on the Department of Employment and Labour to conduct a health and safety inspection at the place as the bulk of workers are complaining that no proper PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) has been given, no social distancing and that once an infection has been detected there's no proper disinfection of the place.
They don't know what risk assessments have been done and have not been informed as required by the law."
