Parliament's Health Committee and the Select Committee on Health and Social Services will embark on a joint oversight visit to the Western Cape and KwaZulu Natal today and tomorrow.
Health Committee Chairperson Sibongiseni Dhlomo says they will be assessing the state of quarantine sites and the readiness of public hospitals to
deal with COVID-19.
The oversight visit will start in Cape Town today with a visit to the Tygerberg Hospital, the National Health Laboratory Service and the quarantine site at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
Dhlomo says as inter-provincial travelling is not allowed under Level 4 lockdown, the committees have deployed their members to conduct oversight visits in the provinces where they reside."https://scontent-jnb1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/100549461_3205119149540447_7379183156638777344_n.jpg?_nc_cat=101&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=WLZ7hiNejM4AX-NXxtV&_nc_ht=scontent-jnb1-1.xx&oh=a363a764b809c39a94c9a6594ff042b3&oe=5EF08ABD"
