The scenic Chapman's Peak Drive near Hout Bay has been closed due to bad weather.
Traffic Chief Kenny Africa, says the pass will be closed until further notice.
Heavy rain and strong winds have been lashing the Peninsula since the first winter cold front made landfall overnight.
Disaster management teams have been placed
on alert for possible flooding in lower lying areas.
There have also been reports of minor mudslides in the main road at Hout Bay.
