The National Health Department is encouraging South Africans to continue to adhere to the guidelines to fight COVID-19.
The aim is to reduce a high number of predicted infections by the end of the year.
This follows a Modelling Symposium hosted by the department.
Health authorities further estimate that there could be up
to 3 million South Africans who are infected with the virus, with a possible death toll of 40 000 by the end of the year.
The symposium presented data that is being used by scientists to understand the risks and solutions of the virus in the coming months."https://scontent-jnb1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/99108198_3195458043839891_2559463486627250176_n.jpg?_nc_cat=107&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=ddsQJCw_CbYAX9Kd300&_nc_ht=scontent-jnb1-1.xx&oh=55cb45dad1748a188ebe896b61f80d19&oe=5EED2E4C"
