Western Cape: Four nabbed for murder, culpable homicide and possession of a stolen vehicle in Nyanga
Nyanga: Strides were made in Nyanga to deal with contact crime and our efforts continue to produce positive results.
Police have apprehended four suspects for crimes ranging from murder and possession of a stolen vehicle to culpable homicide. Two suspects aged 32 and 26 were apprehended for cases of murder. The 26 year old was arrested early Saturday morning at about 03:11 after he had allegedly stabbed another young man in Lusaka, Nyanga, while the 32 year old was arrested today (Sunday, 2018-04-01) at about 08:55, also for stabbing another victim. The victim was walking with his friend in Sikwenene Street, Browns Farm, when they met with the suspect, who allegedly just stabbed the deceased for no reason.
The third suspect, a 37 year old man, was arrested after he had been found stripping a vehicle in Dubu Street in Browns Farm which had reportedly been hijacked, and the fourth suspect was arrested for culpable homicide. The suspect had bumped a six year old girl in Sibini Avenue, Zwelitsha in Nyanga, who sustained serious head and leg injuries, and succumbed to her injuries.
The four arrested suspects will appear in the Athlone Magistrates' Court next week facing charges of murder, culpable homicide and possession of a stolen vehicle. FightingCrime Crime Must Fall
