President Cyril Ramaphosa has called for cool heads around the negotiating table to end the wage deadlock and strike currently underway at South African Airways (SAA).

Ramaphosa will soon be jetting back to South Africa after attending the Brics summit in


Brazil.

Negotiations are underway with the help of the CCMA in Johannesburg to try and end the strike.

Workers are demanding an 8 percent salary increase, while SAA is offering 5, 9 percent.

In Cape Town, striking SAA workers have braved heavy winds at Cape Town International Airport to protest for a second day against salary increases.
