SAPS National Commemoration Day 2019 #FinalSalute to the late Constable M Neudane for the oath you took, your bravery and protection, we say "Ro livhuwa/Thank you" In loving memory of a fallen hero, the SAPS found it
fitting to engrave your name on the national memorial wall situated at the Union Buildings, to signify the gratitude of the nation.
The late Constable M Neudane was 36 years of age and was stationed at the Cleveland Police Station in Gauteng.
He had rendered seven years loyal service in creating a safe and secure environment for the community.
It was on Friday, 24 June 2018 when the late member reported for night duty to face extraordinary circumstances, which required him to
act with courage, honour and selflessness.
The late member and his crew were working in the Cleveland policing jurisdiction when the victim of a robbery approached them and reported a business robbery.
Without hesitation, the late member gave chase after the suspects on foot, unfortunately he was fatally wounded by the suspects during the pursuit.
The late member's child was only three years of age at the time of the father's death, due to a ruthless criminal shooting him in cold blood.
The sad reality is that a child has lost a father, the family has lost a brother, an uncle and provider, while the community has lost a crime fighter, who only wanted to serve justice to a victim of crime.
To the late Constable M Neudane, the management of the SAPS salutes you for your bravery, loyalty and sacrifices to serve and protect - no longer with us, but you will never be forgotten.
