1 Dead 1 Critical - R102 Tongaat Earlier this afternoon IPSS Medical Responded to the R102 near Maidstone for a truck and light motor vehicle collision.
On arrival paramedics found both driver and passenger severally entrapped within the bakie.
Unfortunately the driver was declared dead shortly after
arrival of paramedics.
The passenger of the vehicle was in a critical condition and whilst under the care of IPSS and Lenmed Ethekwini Hospital and Heart Centere advanced life support paramedics, the jaws of life were used to free him from the wreckage, before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
