The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) has been made aware of an incident where cement was thrown from a bridge onto a car moments before an attempted hijacking on the N1 and Botha avenue.
TMPD officers will be deployed to
monitor the area. Criminals will try everything to catch unsuspected motorists off-guard - Be vigilant at all times and only stop where it is safe to do so.
seems to be the new trend for hijacking, while traveling on the N1 just after the Botha Avenue off-ramp.
I went under the Jean Avenue Bridge (M34) - they threw cement down from the bridge onto my car and when I stopped to try and clean the windscreen, 6 men came out of nowhere and start running towards my car.
Luckily for my safety, I was able to get away fast enough. Everyone be on the look out and don't stop if this happens to you keep going.
