Samora Machel near Nyanga in Cape Town where six members of the Anti -Gang Unit were attacked on Wednesday will be placed placed under lock down. The attack took place at the Sweet Home Farm Informal Settlement early in the
morning. Security has since been stepped up, with 200 police officers deployed to the area and two arrests made. Police are searching for one more suspect. Samora Machel is known to be a hiding ground for dangerous criminals. The six members of the Anti- Gang Unit came under fire while searching for suspects thought to be linked to recent murders in the area. The attack comes less than 24 hours after Police Minister Bheki Cele engaged the community about
their safety concerns.
