Cape Town Police have arrested three men following a hijacking in Philippi East yesterday. No one was hurt during the incident. Members of the Police's Flying Squad spotted the hijacked vehicle on Baden Powell Drive with the three suspects inside.


Police spokesperson, Andre Traut, says they also recovered a stolen firearm inside of the vehicle. Traut says the suspects will appear in the Muizenberg Magistrate's court on Monday."One of the suspects was found in possession of a .22 calibre revolver which was reported stolen in Table View during 2017. The three suspects aged 18, 18 and 24 are expected to make a court appearance in Muizenberg on Monday for the possession of a stolen vehicle and the possession of


an unlicensed and stolen firearm."
