A fourth vehicle has been set alight in Thembalethu near George in the Southern Cape. Two of the vehicles belong to the local municipality, while the other two are privately owned. The incidents come as taxi operators suspended their
services in the area yesterday. They say they are being harassed by members of the Provincial Traffic Ghost Squad who've impounded 40 taxis this week. The Thembalethu Taxi Rank is empty and operators say they will not resume services until the impounded vehicles are released.
