Independent political analyst Asanda Ngoasheng says women make up the majority of the country's population and deserve fair representation in politics and all levels of government. She's been reacting following an IEC media briefing that the representation of woman in
the Western Cape Legislature is among the lowest in the country. The governing DA party in the province says it will use skill rather than race and gender to choose it representatives in the new provincial parliament. Ngoasheng has weighed in on the matter. She says, "All decisions that are taken in the country, whether you are talking the economy, whether you are talking jobs, any and all decisions affect women in the country. That's why it is important
for women to be represented in parliament, and it is important for women to be represented in politics in general."
