Political analyst Tessa Dooms says following the elections, ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa has to shift the focus away from dealing with issues of state capture and corruption and redirect importance to the problems faced by ordinary South Africans. As
vote counting continues, the ANC looks set on the path to victory. However, Dooms says a drop in the amount of youth registered to vote, coupled with a drop in the percentage of support for the governing party, indicates that South Africans want government to start dealing with the day-to-day challenges they face.
