An alleged Cape Town underworld boss and his mother have handed themselves over to the Hawk' Serious Corruption Investigation Unit in Cape Town in connection with alleged corruption. Hawks spokesperson Philani Nkwalase says this follows a lengthy investigation into their


relationship with a former senior police officer. In November 2011, the duo aged 60 and 37, allegedly paid gratifications to him to advance their private personal business interests. Nkwalase says the two businesses that paid the money, have been added as suspects in this matter. More arrests are expected pending the on-going investigation
