Nottingham Road -
A taxi driver has suffered a medical condition while driving a fully laden taxi on the N3 between Nottingham and Mooi River, verred off the road and went down an embankment this afternoon.
Midlands EMS paramedics arrived on the scene to find the taxi still on its
wheels, with all the passengers outside of the vehicle. The driver of the taxi was still in his seat. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that only the driver needed medical assistance. The patient was stabilised on scene and transported to a nearby Provincial Hospital for further medical care.
It is believed that the taxi was on its way to the Witbank, when the driver suffered a medical episode, causing him to verre off the road, through a fence and down an embankment. Thankfully he was able to keep the vehicle on its wheels the whole time and saved his passengers from any injuries.
