FARM MURDER: A 51-Year-Old Man Stabbed to Death during Farm Attack, Kirkwood Eastern Cape...
On Sunday night, 24 March 2019, 3 suspects masked with balaclavas, attacked a family on a farm in Dunbrody near Kirkwood in the Eastern Cape.
According to AfriForum's Head of Community Safety, Ian Cameron, one male victim who has being
identified as 51-year-old Duaene Truter, was stabbed multiple times in his back and other parts of his body.
Truter and his son tried to defend themselves and their family against the attackers when Truter was stabbed. Other family members did not sustain any serious injuries, Cameron said.
Police Captain Gerda Swart said: "The family was at home when an unknown male entered the house. The 51-year-old father and his son allegedly managed to overpower the suspect. Suddenly, two more suspects
entered the house of which one started stabbing the 51-year-old father in his back. The father and son released the suspect and the threesome ran away from the scene."
The South African Police has launched a massive manhunt for the suspects.
