Two suspects implicated in a cash in transit heist in Parow have been sentenced to four years in prison. Then men were sentenced in the Bellville Regional Court. 28-year-old Senzo Ponoyi and 35-year-old Nkosiphendule Khanyana were arrested in 2016 after
robbing a G4S Security guard at the Parow Shopping Centre. They managed to make off with the money box but dropped the loot. They were later arrested. The Hawk's Captain Philani Nkwalase says the men were convicted late last year: "The duo were found guilty for robbery with aggrivated circumstances on the 27th of November 2018 and subsequently the regional court sentenced both convicts to eight years imprisonment of which half is suspended for a period of five years
with stringent conditions. The duo will effectively serve a four year jail term."
