Metrorail in the Western Cape says three pedistrians have been hit by trains in two separate incidents today. In the first Incident two boys were hit by a train Between Netreg and Bonteheuwel. One of the boys died in this
incident. Another person also died after being struck at Du Toit Station in Stellenbosch. Metrorail Spokesperson Riana Scott: "Three pedistrian casualities were reported. Two young boys were struck between Netreg and Bonteheuwel and according to first medical reports from the scene one is still alive but in critical condition, a third person was struck at Du Toit Station. We express our condolences to the family of the deceased and we also reiterate our pleas during safety campaigns that children
must be made aware of crossing railway lines."
