Former ANC MP Vytjie Mentor has told the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture that upon being offered a ministerial post by one of the Gupta brothers, she then shared the information at a Joint standing committee of intelligence in
the presence of Siyabonga Cwele as the chair. But this evidence has been disputed by the commission's legal team, saying Cwele was Minister of Intelligence during the said period in 2010. Mentor is continuing to give her evidence at the commission underway in Parktown in Johannesburg. She has testified to the commission that she was offered the position of Minister of Public Enterprises in 2010 by one of the Gupta brothers at their Saxonwold residence. Mentor says this was
during a meeting scheduled between her and former President Jacob Zuma. The Commission's legal team, has told mentor that Cwele was not present during the parliamentary meeting on intelligence.
