Notes:

1. The loadshedding schedule only comes into effect if loadshedding is declared. Eskom communicates to the media when loadshedding is declared

and also communicates via www.eskom.co.za , @Eskom_SA on Twitter and on Eskom's facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/EskomSouthAfrica

2. For

the real time present status and stage of loadshedding visit: http://www.loadshedding.eskom.co.za

3. If stage 1 loadshedding is declared from 17:00 and one is scheduled on stage 1 on the 16:00 to 20:30 time slot then one will be loadshed from 17:00

until 20:30. However, if loadshedding is cancelled earlier then one will be restored earlier.

4. If one is scheduled on a lower stage and a higher stage is declared then one will also be loadshed at

that time slot. For eg. if one is scheduled on stage 1

on the 16:00 to 20:30 time slot but stage 2 loadshedding is declared from 16:00 to 20:30 then one will also be loadshed from 16:00 to 20:30 since the stages

are accumulative. If stage 2 is declared then blocks scheduled on stage 2 AND stage 1 will be loadshed. If stage 3 is declared then blocks scheduled on

stage 3, stage 2 AND stage 1 will be loadshed. If stage 4 is declared then blocks scheduled on stage 4, stage 3, stage 2 AND stage 1 will be loadshed.

5. If one is scheduled on a higher stage than the stage declared then one will not be loadshed at that time slot unless the stage is increased. For eg. if

stage 1 is declared from 16:00 to 20:30 and one is scheduled on stage 2 at 16:00-20:30 then one will NOT be shed unless the stage is increased. So if, for eg.,

Eskom declares stage 1 loadshedding from 16:00 and stage 2 from 17:00 and one is scheduled on stage 2 on the 16:00 to 20:30 time slot then one will be

loadshed from 17:00 to 20:30.
