Officers of the City of Cape Town's Random Breathalyser Testing unit have arrested four taxi drivers for being under the influence of alcohol during a roadblock early this morning on the Borchard's Quarry link onto the N-two. They are
among 65 arrests made this past week, of which more than half were for drunk driving. Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security JP Smith says the taxi drivers were all behind the wheel of vehicles filled with passengers heading to work and school. He says odds are that the drivers were drinking until late and then got up for work after a few hours' sleep. (File pic)
