Man suffers suspected spinal cord injury after vehicle drives down M4 off-ramp.
A sixty-seven year old male has been left with a suspected spinal cord injury following a head on collision in Broadway earlier.
Crisis Medical paramedics responded to the scene of
the Swapo Road off ramp from the M4 Ruth First Highway, to find two vehicles had collided head on.
The man was found seated in his vehicle having suffered moderate injuries. Intermediate Life Support intervention was needed to stabilize him before he was placed onto a specialised stretcher and taken by ambulance to a nearby medical facility for further care.
Reports from the scene suggest the driver of a Kia motorvehicle disregarded traffic rules, driving contra-flow down the off-ramp colliding head
on with the iX35. The driver of the Kia was attended to by another ambulance service.
The local authorities were on scene and will investigate the incident further.
