The owners of a popular fast food chain in Gatesville say they have no problem with their legacy becoming party of contemporary popular history. Golden Dish is part of thousands of people who've submitted names and places to Goodhope FM to be included in their "Hype Your Heritage Campaign". In a first for SA radio, the station is encouraging South Africans to preserve and document their cultural heritage. One of the owners of the Golden Dish, Zulfika Parker: "I'd like to think that Golden Dish was a unifier in the community. It was a point where families came together. We have diverse clientele. We'd like it to be remembered just for that - getting families together, unifying them. Just enjoying the food and remembering that Golden Dish constributed to them spending good times together."
