An alleged Hit and Run leaves a Six (6) year-old boy critically injured.
This evening at around 17h50, TAC-Pulse ERS Advanced Life Support units responded to a call pertaining to a serious Pedestrian Vehicle Accident (PVA) on the N12, just outside Wolmaransstad heading toward Bloemhof.
Upon arrival on the scene; K.I Security immediately secured the surrounding area, provided tactical support and aided in crowd control.
TAC-Pulse ERS Paramedics worked on stabilising the injured pedestrian who is a six (6) year-old boy; who sustained a serious head injury and a fractured leg when he was hit by a vehicle while crossing the road with his uncle.
He was rapidly transported under Advanced Life Support to a local Hospital for further medical management. The Mother of injured boy was provided with support and assistance after she was left traumatised by witnessing this traumatic event.
The exact cause of the PVA is unknown; however, it is alleged that the vehicle involved in this accident, speed away from the scene.
SAPS was on scene gathering information from the community. We urge all members of the community who have information pertaining to this horrific incident, to please contact their local SAPS office ASAP.
