SPECIAL WEATHER ADVISORIES:

1. Cold, gusty north-westerly winds(45-60km/h) are expected

over Central and Little Karoo, Northern Cape, western

parts of the North-West, Free State and interior of the

Eastern Cape on Friday, spreading to the eastern parts

on Saturday.

2. Snowfall is expected over the high lying areas of the

Western Cape, Eastern Cape and south-western parts of

Kwazulu-Natal on Friday into Saturday, clearing from

the west.

Fine and cool becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

The expected UVB sunburn index:Low

2. MPUMALANGA:

--------------

Warm in the Lowveld, otherwise fine and cool but cold

along the escarpment. It will become partly cloudy over

the western Highveld.

3. LIMPOPO:

-----------

Fine and cool, but warm in the Lowveld as well as in the

Limpopo Valley. It will become partly cloudy over the

Western Bushveld.

4. NORTH-WEST PROVINCE:

-----------------------

Fine, windy and cool, but partly cloudy in the west,

spreading to the east in the afternoon. Isolated

showers and thundershowers expected in the west from

the afternoon, where it will be cloudy at times.

5. FREE STATE:

Cold in the south and along the Lesotho border,

otherwise fine, windy and cool, but partly cloudy

in the west, spreading to the east in the afternoon.

Isolated showers and thundershowers expected over

the central parts, but scattered in the west from the

afternoon, where it will be cloudy at times.

6. NORTHERN CAPE:

Very cold on the southern high ground, otherwise

partly cloudy and cold becoming cloudy in the east

with isoalted to scattered showers and thundershowers.

The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly

in the north at first, otherwise moderate to fresh

westerly to south-westerly.

7. WESTERN CAPE:

----------------

Cool along the south-coast, otherwise cloudy and cold

with rain showers abating during the morning except

in the extreme west. Light snowfalls are possible on

the western mountain peaks of the Western Cape tomorrow.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly

to north-westerly but strong along the south-west coast.

8. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Cloudy and cold with rain and scattered showers, but

isolated along the coast and adjacent interior west

of Cape St Francis.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh

westerly to south-westerly.

9. EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Partly cloudy and cold to cool, becoming cloudy with

scattered showers from late morning. Snowfall can be

expected over the southern Drakensberg from the evening.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

10. KWAZULU-NATAL:

Partly cloudy in the south otherwise fine and warm but

cool in the south-west. It will becoming cloudy in the

evening with isolated showers/rain in the south.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh

northerly to north-easterly becoming moderate

south-westerly from the south by mid-morning.
