At least five pedestrians were killed on Western Cape roads this weekend. In the latest incident, a man was knocked over on the N2 at Glentana near George in the Southern Cape. In another incident, two pedestrians, a man, aged 25 and a 21-year old woman were killed when the driver of a German sedan collided with them on the Louwshoek/Boontjiesrivier road near Rawsonville. Both died on the scene. Two others were killed in separate incidents respectively at Sandbaai in the Overberg and on the N7 near Klawer. Provincial traffic chief, Kenny Africa says a drunk pedestrian was also arrested in Vredendal on the Cape West Coast.
