A mountain bike rider in Cape Town has miraculously escaped serious injury after he was caught by a wire that was strung at neck height across a legal trail. The founder of Table Mountain Bikers, Robert Vogel, says the man was cycling down a steep single track in the Glen area, near Camps Bay, when the incident happened. "He was obviously pulled off this bike and fortunately he wasn't too seriously injured, but this is

the first time somebody who clearly does not like to see cyclists on these shared trails, has gone to drastic measures to try and cause some serious injury here." Vogel says the matter has been reported to the authorities. (Image: Table Mountain Bikers)
