Traffic authorities in the Western Cape have, since the start of the weekend, arrested 25 drunk drivers. One of the drivers arrested in Caledon, was nearly six times over the legal limit. Provincial Traffic Chief, Kenny Africa says six people died on the province's roads, four of them pedestrians. "We also arrested one driver for reckless and negligent driving in Vredendal, and in Caledon one driver was arrested for being in possession of false documentation.Then in Worcester we arrested one speedster for doing 111 in an 80 zone. Also in Vredendal one drunk pedestrian was arrested. Then we also tested the speed of several vehicles in the province and prosecuted 467 drivers for exceeding the different speed limits."
