Eskom has announced the suspension of load shedding on Friday night.
This after the power giant implemented level one load shedding earlier on Friday amid a strike by employees over pay increases.
The parastatal's spokesperson has however said it will be a "difficult weekend"as a cold front approaches Gauteng.
"Eskom stops load shedding: Eskom stopped Stage 1 load shedding at 19:16 on 15 June 2018. It is important to note that the restoration of power may take longer in some areas."
"Eskom would like to thank its customers for assisting in keeping the power system stable by reducing their energy usage. We urge all South Africans to use electricity sparingly and wisely."
"We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience to affected customers."
