On Thursday, 15 August 2019 at about 19:20, Potchefstroom police were called to an accident on the corner of Govan Mbeki and Smit Street crossing, close to the golf course entrance.
Two vehicles (Bakkies) collided, namely a white Ford Ranger and a silver / grey Ford Bantam.
Two men aged 19 and
28 died during this tragic accident.
A case of culpable homicide was opened.
We appeal to anyone who might have witnessed this accident, especially the driver of a white Toyota Fortuner, to contact the Investigating Officer, Warrant Officer Koos van der Merwe on 079 731 0843 or #CrimeStop on 08600-10111.
