Three men have been arrested following the discovery of cocaine with a street value of R400 million on the N1 highway at the Winelands Engen garage.
They were travelling in a truck towards Cape Town.
Hawks spokesperson, Zinzi Hani, says they had received a tip-off about a truck allegedly transporting drugs when
they followed up: "The vehicle was intercepted, and a search was conducted wherein a large quantity of drugs was found hidden in false wooden boards at the back of the truck.
The three men, aged 39,42 and 47 will appear in the Athlone Magistrate on Monday."
