A wanted suspect has been arrested for the murder of two Department of Correctional Services officials on 12 July 2022.
A multi-disciplinary team cornered the suspect's car after he attempted to evade arrest at Etwatwa in Ekurhuleni District on 03 August 2022.
The suspect was apprehended and he was found with a
firearm and ammunition that belonged to one of the murdered Correctional Services official.
They then took the suspect to his residence where an unlicensed firearm believed to be a murder weapon was seized.
The two firearms will be taken to the Forensic Science Laboratory for ballistic testing to determine if they were used in the commission of crimes.
