KWAZULU-NATAL | DURBAN NORTH Just after 14h00 on Monday Emer-G-Med Paramedics together with and multiple other emergency services responded to the M4 Ruth First Highway near the south bound off ramp at the Virginia Airport area, after a single light motor vehicle had left the
road way and crashed into the bushes.
First responders from Nettow alerted emergency services that the driver of the vehicle appeared to be suffering a medical emergency and paramedics responded to the scene.
On arrival on scene a male approximately sixty years of age, was found in a state of cardiac arrest.
Advanced life support paramedics and emergency care practitioners worked fervently for over an hour, in an extensive effort to resuscitate the man, however, efforts were unsuccessful.
Our thoughts and prayers extend to the man's family and we thank all services on scene for their assistance.
