City closes in on its target of 100 km of proactive jetting by the end of June | The City's Water and Sanitation Directorate, as part of its Winter Readiness Programme, is doing extensive proactive work in various areas across the city to help reduce sewer overflows and is well
on its way to reaching its target of 100 km of proactive jetting by the end of June 2022.
By the end of May 2022, the City had already completed 92 km of proactive jetting.
Not seen in this photo are the several illegal connections made to the drain from the surrounding buildings.
We appeal to all residents to respect the law and only make legal and paid for connections to the proper pipe infrastructure.
You do no one any favours when you cause blockages and overflows in your communities.
