WITBANK Three killed in 2 taxi head-on...
Three adult men have been killed in a head-on collision between two mini-bus taxis on the R544 just outside Witbank in Mpumalanga early on Saturday morning.
Several other passengers on their way to work were injured in the incident.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 03:20 on Saturday the 25th of
June to find the Provincial EMS already in attendance.
Several passengers had already been transported to hospital by another private Emergency Medical Service with unknown injuries for further care.
ER24 assisted the Provincial EMS to extract an adult male patient from the one taxi who had suffered critical injuries.
The patient was transported by the Provincial EMS to hospital for emergency treatment.
Three adult men including the driver and two passengers sitting behind the driver from the same taxi were found to have suffered fatal injuries and showed no signs of life.
The three men, all believed to be above the age of 30, were declared dead on arrival by ER24.
Both the Fire and Traffic Departments were on scene as well as the SAPS
for further investigations.
